Autoliv is looking to hire Summer Interns focusing on Electronics & Mechatronics Engineering at its Auburn Hills, MI location. The role entails working closely with engineers from multiple departments within Autoliv.
We are seeking a mechatronics intern primarily focused on steering wheel product development. The steering wheel has evolved from a very basic HMI to a complex portion of the ADAS and comfort systems of a vehicle. The design of a steering wheel requires a diversely skilled engineer that spans a breadth of engineering disciplines including materials, optics, electronics and mechanics among others. In addition, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills.
What you’ll do:
- Perform basic professional Engineering assignments.
- Apply standard engineering techniques, practices, procedures, and criteria in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results.
- Work to get test equipment working.
- Documenting procedures.
- Assist application engineers learn to use test equipment.
- Support development projects.
- Support product launches.
- Support technical engagement with supply base.
What is required:
• Must be attending an accredited University enrolled in Applied Science, Math, Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related Engineering field.
• Problem solving and analytical skills required
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capability required
