Prototype Technician
Prototype Technician
The Prototype Technician will work primarily in the prototype build bays and support in other prototype areas as needed. This technician will interface closely with Design Engineers, Prototype Quality and will report directly to the build bay AMT’s and Prototype Supervisor.
What you’ll do:
- Prototype assembly/inspection using build sheet, control plan, drawing and instruction from Engineers
- Prototype technician must have great attention with the ability to read and interpret drawings and instructions from Engineers
- Work with Engineers to provide timely results and feedback during new prototype development.
- Measure and record dimensional and build specific data per Engineer instructions
- Update electronic records to maintain all build traceability
- Demonstrate effective, positive and timely communication along with good teamwork
- Maintain Launch and Customer deliverables
What is required:
- Educational Requrements: High School Diploma
- Years of Experience: Autoliv assembly experience preferred
- AS 412 inspection experience helpful
- Specific job related skills: Working knowledge of PLM (helpful but not mandatory)
- Specific job related skills: Understanding of build sheets, control plans, & blue print reading
- Availability to work approximately from 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday-Friday. Weekday / weekend overtime as required
