The HR Director serves as a strategic partner to Operations, Manufacturing Excellence, and APS in the Americas. Translates business priorities into a people strategy that enables safe, reliable, high-quality, cost-effective performance and accelerates transformation in productivity, capability, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
In this role you will be responsible for
Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with Operations leaders to align talent and workforce strategies with business priorities, leveraging data, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.
Talent & Leadership Development: Build succession pipelines, strengthen leadership capability, coach senior leaders, and drive upskilling, reskilling, and talent readiness across Operations.
Change & Performance Management: Lead organizational transformation initiatives, improve productivity and workforce effectiveness, and drive engagement, accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Employee Experience & Compliance: Enhance wellbeing and inclusion, address employee relations and engagement challenges, monitor key people metrics, and ensure labor law compliance across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Brazil
What is required:
• Relevant undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 10–15+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HRBP support for Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Industrial functions in a multinational, multi-site environment.
• Experience in union and non-union environments, employee and labor relations, case management, labor risk mitigation, and business continuity
• Track record supporting transformation, including restructuring, footprint changes, consolidations, automation, digitalization, productivity programs, or M&A.
• Work location: Auburn Hills, MI
• Willingness to travel (30%)
