Packaging Fleet Budget Coordinator

In this role you will play a critical role in supporting the company’s new business quoting process by developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for returnable and expendable packaging solutions.
The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with effective communication and coordination across teams to deliver precise and timely cost information that contributes to profitable program launches and long-term customer success.
Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:
Create and manage cost budget for packaging materials for new project launch • Maintain cost models to support new business quotation
Forecast future costs based on historical data, trends, and market conditions.
Build cost models (bottom-up, top-down, activity-based, etc.).
Provide cost-benefit analyses for proposed changes.
Work closely with the Sales and New Program Launch teams to ensure all packaging cost assumptions are fully understood, validated, and incorporated into customer quotes and program financials.
Audit actual costs to identify and address deficiencies in continually improving cost estimation.
Coordinate maintenance, controls, and vendors; manage fleet size strategies for packaging assets.
Coordinate integrator/3PL for kitting and site delivery.
Plan and execute container availability for new launch and serial production
Design loop strategy and right‑size the pool by lane (model cycle times, turns, seasonality, surge).
Maintain container master/PFEP (IDs, specs, owners, lanes, MOQ, lead‑times); control changes and revisions.
Manage budget for builds, redeployments, repairs, and losses; create ROIs for conversions and location adds; support sourcing/negotiations.
Plan launches/ECNs: phase‑in/out plans, readiness at suppliers/plants, ramp‑to‑rate container availability.
Bridge design, cost, and customer validation, ensuring alignment with budget targets
Manage customer reimbursement activity for out of scope packaging usage
If you have/are:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
6+ years of related experience,
Advance MS Excel usage
Demonstrate familiarity with database and analytical tools,
Works with minimal supervision.
Drives projects to schedule/budget.
Clear communicator with suppliers, plants, logistics, and design; structured problem solving
Travel readiness (5–20%);
Spanish/English bilingual a plus for US/MX lane
