Financial Systems Manager
The Financial Systems Manager will serve as the key liaison between Finance and IT, responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and advancing the Americas Division’s Essbase and OneStream environments. This is a business role with Finance and controlling experiences that help focus on systems, data integrity, and efficient financial reporting across actuals, forecast, and consolidation processes. The successful candidate will combine strong accounting acumen with deep system expertise to support both corporate and plant-level operations.
What you’ll do:
System Ownership & Data Management
Build, maintain, and enhance financial database structures in Essbase and OneStream to support reporting, forecasting, and consolidation needs.
Load, validate, and reconcile large volumes of financial data; ensure data integrity across systems.
Manage system security, user access, and role assignments.
Partner with IT to ensure system performance, uptime, and integration stability between source systems and cubes.
Financial Support & Reporting
Support central teams and plants with OneStream uploads, cube loads, consolidations, and process troubleshooting.
Develop and update financial reporting templates and training materials for actuals and forecast submissions.
Generate and automate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses for management.
Verify and validate key financial data elements such as PAC, BOM, sales price, standard cost, volume, model share, and revision levels.
Continuous Improvement
Test and validate system upgrades, enhancements, and new IT tools; document results and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline reporting processes and improve forecasting accuracy.
Support automation initiatives (e.g., RPA) and shared service center (SSC) activities.
Perform Essbase and OneStream data verification, validation, and troubleshooting as needed
Strong finance/Accounting acumen to support periodic reviews of control effectiveness and support teams in remediation of identified deficiencies.
What is required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, masters degree (preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices including Accrual accounting.
Proficiency in income statement and balance sheet classifications, reconciliations, and proper accrual accounting.
Experience building or maintaining databases in Essbase or equivalent financial systems.
Advanced Excel skills, including macros for data manipulation and analysis.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to partner across Finance, IT technical experts to ensure system integrity and availability and provide timely backup data.
Strong understanding of operational accounting and forecasting to support plants in loading, retrieving and forecasting data, as needed
Skills in managing system security and user access.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with OneStream Cubes (CONSO, VP, SALESDET, OPEX, Market, SCM, etc.) and an understanding of their role in actuals and forecast reporting.
Ability to consolidate and interpret P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
Comfort navigating between granular and summarized financial views.
Experience leading or influencing stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
Familiarity with RPA development, shared service support, and system validation protocols.
Be able to influence/lead people in equivalent or higher leadership roles
Spanish or Portuguese a plus
