Product Area Manager
The Product Area Manager/ Segment Mananger, will be responsible for the Divisional reporting to Global Segment Area and Global Product Area. Reporting directly to Divisional Purchasing Director(DM), with a dotted line reporting to Global Purchasing Director, Product & Segment. Manager to provide direction to team members, functioning as an advisor regarding tasks, projects and general operation. Ensures work / projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Approves expenditures within budget policies and guidelines. Ensures execution of all KPI’s for both Product Area and Segment Area (Savings, VEVA, AS51, WCC, AS246 & Sourcing). Provides resources and removes obstacles and barriers.

- Execute Divsional Segement Strategy with Purchasing Director
- Chair Segment Sourcing Scenarios
- Escalation Path(level 2)
- Divisional FC & Strategy review Forum
- Compliance / Legal
- Manage/Support Divisional Segment Team
- Mentoring all Segment Buyers (All HR Topics, training, ePDD)
- Negotiations
- Savings Execution & reporting
- AS51 + SQR + Red Supplier Day participation
- Supply Risk Management
- VEVA & Resourcing
- Divisional Segment Budget
- Supplier Pre-qualificaion (with Project Purchasing)
- On-time sourcing
Product Area Role
- Provide Divisional Product Line inputs to Divisional Purchasing Director, Direct Materal to integrate into Divisional Strategy.
- Provide Divisional Product Line inputs to to Global Purchasing Director, Product & Segment, to integrate into Global Segment Strategy.
- First point-of-contact for Divisional Product Area to support stakeholders (e.g. Operations)
- Support and collaborate with all areas of Product Line
- Execute Best Buy
- Execute Mega RFQ & other market test activities
- PFT Member
- Execute SCF & WCC related items/ initiatives
What is required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business with min
• 10 years of Purchasing experience
• 5 + years of management / leadership experience
• Strong decision making skills
• Highly skilled in presenting and conveying information clearly
• Availability to work 60% of the time on site
