What you’ll do:
Building Relationships: Develop strong partnerships with leaders across the organization, understanding their unique needs, and collaborating to deliver effective HR solutions aligned with business objectives. Provide employee support, assist employees, and manage issues while providing seamless customer service.
Strategic HR Planning: Lead the HR strategic plan and be an active participant in on-going events, projects and initiatives that support the location. Participate in HR yearly budget planning, monitoring and adherence to company guidelines. Collaborate with management teams to ensure strategic alignment of human resources goals and objectives. Support deployment of HR programs, including reporting, staffing, headcount planning/reporting, retention, and career development (Prioritized Development Action Plans).
Continuous Improvement: Manage and encourage continual improvements in the location and the efficiency of the HR department and services performed. Assure Company interests and bottom line are maintained in all activities. Lead group staff meeting, employee events, and attend other meetings and seminars as assigned.
Employee Relations: Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Attend and respond to the ongoing HR needs of employees.
Talent Acquisition and Management: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify talent needs, develop plant recruitment strategies, and participate in the selection process. Support the onboarding and integration of new employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
Performance Management: Drive performance management initiatives, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans, fostering a culture of continuous feedback and growth. Lead the annual merit review and salary budgeting process. Manage the annual site Talent Management process. Ensures all employees receive proper training and having current training records. Host training and plan sessions. Lead performance management efforts to include conflict resolution and corrective action. Performance Improve Plans (PIPs), Notice of Cautions (NOCs), and Discussions (NOCs). Work with managers through disciplinary actions as required to enforce Company rules and policies.
Change Management: Partner with leaders to navigate organizational change effectively, supporting communication, change readiness, and employee engagement during transitions. Lead local HR projects and support regional projects.
Workforce Planning & Reporting: Understand and work in the HRIS, records and reports from database.
Compliance: Perform HR duties involving contact with and exposure to highly confidential materials and information. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (i.e., EEOC, Human Rights, OFCCP, DHS, ATF and OSHA). Vendor relationship management – Monitor outside legal counsel and ensure service provided is in line with agreed key performance indicators. Maintain Company image both internally and externally.
Manage the coordination of community involvement and philanthropic activities for the lotion. Participate in events as needed.
What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent.
- Proven 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions in manufacturing environment, preferably in global organizations.
- Knowledgeable in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, training.
- Excellent project and people management skills with a proven ability to design workable solutions, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and drive projects to successful implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change daily.
- Ability to lead HR projects from both a leader and supporting team member standpoint.
- Detailed-oriented and have the ability to think “outside the box” and prioritize tasks and decisions in a timely manner.
- Self-directed, yet effective working part of a collaborative team and understands HR’s role.
- Responsive and customer-focused with a demonstrated use of professional judgment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- HR Metrics – proven track record of monitoring, assessing, and putting actions plan in place for improvement.
- Experience in training and development.
- Experience in safety.
