Production Control Manager
The Production Control Manager is responsible for the logistics flow for incoming and outgoing materials at the AOA Ogden Module Facility and AOS Service Facility. The Production Control Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager. The selected candidate must be able to work closely with production, technical support, quality, and engineering teams.
What you’ll do:
•Manages employees to meet internal/external customer, including support functions such as shipping and receiving, conveyance, inventory control, packaging, and storage.
•Works to create a positive work environment. Ensures communication and feedback flows up, down, and across all levels and shifts/teams as needed.
•Acts as logistics facilitator to ensure the delivery processes are coordinated in such a way that customer requirements and time constraints are met.
•Provides direction to team members based on general policies and management guidance.
•Interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect compliance and results.
•Ensures work/projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
•Approves expenditures within budget policies and guidelines.
•Works with Autoliv internal business units to achieve customer satisfaction and accountability. results
•Provides resources and removes obstacles and barriers.
•Manages the warehouse functions and movement of material throughout the facility to create world class flow (Lead-time).
•Leads the creation of action plans and policy deployment and manages efforts to achieve area and plant goals.
•Teaches, coaches, and facilitates problem solving, project management, and application of Autoliv Production System (APS) principles.
•Verifies processes and standards are being followed and improved.
•Responsible for development, performance, and continuous improvement of all shifts
•Improves capability of team members through coaching, teaching, and appropriate assigning of tasks.
•Ensures that associates are adequately trained, that work is performed in a safe and efficient manner/environment, and that safety incidents are thoroughly investigated with effective corrective actions.
•Ensures adequate resources, including support personnel, are available and that customer standards are maintained.
•Understanding of global supply chain and how to mitigate risks
•Ability to maintain Designed Inventory levels with no impact to production and customer
What is required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred
• Warehouse/Conveyance experience necessary.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience preferred.
