IT Strategic Category Buyer

The IT & telecom software Strategic Category Buyer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring software solutions that meet the organization's technological and operational needs. You will hold responsibility for all specific category within the Indirect Purchasing Team. You will negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, SOW’s and commercial requirements that meet internal stakeholder’s objectives and overall category strategy. You will directly interact with your internal stakeholders and with external vendors. You will familiarize yourself with Autoliv’s supply base and work with internal stakeholders, and Global Category Management to create and execute Category Strategies.

What you’ll do:

• Develop category strategies, secure customer alignment, and execution.

• Develop strong relationships with internal Business partners.

• Drive cost-saving initiatives to align with company goals.

• Support of Global Category Strategies, Management, and key initiatives

• Conduct competitive bids.

• Negotiate and create contracts that reflects the negotiation. 

What is required:

• 5+ years of IT purchasing experience, category management, contract management
• Knowledge of IT software’s purchasing contracts 
• Good working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel 
• Good communication skills both written and verbal 
• Good administrating different projects and necessities
