VEVA Specialist

We are looking for a Cost Reduction / VEVA Specialist to drive value engineering initiatives across our Airbag Division. This strategic role will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout North America, supporting airbag manufacturing locations in Canada, Utah, and Mexico while helping achieve our direct material cost reduction targets.
Key Responsibilities
Drive cost reduction initiatives focused on direct materials and product value optimization.
Facilitate ideation and value engineering workshops to generate innovative savings opportunities.
Partner with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Business Units to identify, evaluate, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Build robust financial business cases to support project approvals and implementation.
Become the subject matter expert for the VEVA application and related idea management processes.
Utilize ECAN and other business tools to develop and validate savings opportunities.
Coordinate alignment among key stakeholders to successfully execute approved initiatives.
Track, report, and support achievement of VEVA and SmartBOM objectives for the Airbag Division.
Present project recommendations, financial impacts, and implementation plans to leadership teams.
Support multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely execution and delivery of results.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Experience in cost reduction, value engineering, program management, purchasing, product engineering, manufacturing, or a related function.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects in a global environment.
Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to build compelling business cases.
Experience preparing and delivering presentations to management and leadership teams.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerBI
