Prototype Technician
Prototype Technician
The Prototype Technician supports prototype build operations, working primarily in the prototype build bays and assisting other prototype areas as needed. This role interfaces closely with Design Engineers and Prototype Quality and reports directly to the Build Bay AMTs and the Prototype Supervisor.
In this role you will be responsible for
Perform prototype assembly and inspection using build sheets, control plans, drawings, and engineer-provided instructions
Accurately read, interpret, and execute work from drawings and technical instructions with strong attention to detail
Work closely with Design Engineers to deliver timely results and provide build feedback during prototype development
Measure and document dimensional and build-specific data per engineering requirements
Maintain and update electronic build records to ensure full traceability
Demonstrate effective, timely, and positive communication while working collaboratively in a team environment
Support launch milestones and customer deliverables in a fast-paced prototype setting
What is required:
High school diploma.
Autoliv assembly experience is considered a plus
Inspection experience helpful.
Working knowledge of PLM (helpful but not mandatory).
Understanding of build sheets, control plans, and blue print reading.
Basic machining skills (drill press, lathe) are helpful.
Candidates must adhere to Autoliv Safety and Quality procedures.
Ability and willingness to cross train in other areas is crucial
