Health Safety and Sustainability Supervisor
As an HS&S Supervisor, you will act as a vital link between leadership, employees, and contractors to ensure the highest standards of safety and environmental performance..
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the implementation and coordination of HSE&S programs at site level
Conduct workplace inspections, safety walks, and risk assessments
Lead/support Job Safety Analyses (JSAs/JHAs) and task-based evaluations
Ensure compliance with safe work permits (LOTO, confined space, hot work)
Monitor and enforce contractor safety performance
Drive corrective and preventive actions from audits, inspections, and incidents
Support incident investigations and promote near-miss reporting (CSJ)
Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations
Support sustainability initiatives (energy, water, emissions, waste reduction)
Coach supervisors and employees on safe behaviors and procedures
Lead and support HSE&S audits, inspections, and KPI tracking/reporting
Support emergency response planning, drills, and coordination
Ensure readiness of emergency equipment and systems
Collaborate with regional HS&S Engineers (Utah South) and site leadership
Contribute to strategic HSE&S plans (monthly, quarterly, annual)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or related) or equivalent technical background
3–5+ years of experience in automotive or highly regulated industrial environments
Proven experience in a supervisory or people management role
Technical Expertise
