Material Handling Operator Lead
Team Lead will manage daily processing of outbound scheduled shipments for the following day making sure all are completed, running a Crystal Report after each one to make sure there are no errors and staging in shipment lanes. This role will be in charge of their associates to keep them on track to complete daily build requirements and to train new hires as needed; and help the team reach their monthly SQDCM goals by driving accountability and continually working to make sure each goal is reached.
What you’ll do:
• Lead the Shift Shipping/Toyota Team Operations for AST, AOA, IBC, AOS, AMX, AQW and AMM
• Assure all daily shipments are completed and loaded accurately and on schedule including Sub Routes, Line Hauls, and Customer trucks.
• Scheduling and overseeing inbound material and put away process including documenting any damage
• Assure that all material is properly loaded and secured.
• Working lead to assist in staging, labeling, scanning, loading shipments, and assisting the yard jockey.
• Support all Continuous Improvement Activities; APS activities; maintain all standards; 5S
• Responsible for opening and closing facility. End of day checks
• Move trailers as needed in and out of dock doors
• Resonsible for ensuring the teams are focused on areal goals (SQDCM)
• Assure all BBS audits are completed for area and identify safety concerns
What is required:
• HS Diploma with 5 year’s work experience acceptable.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role, preferred in team environment
• Experience in shipment preparation desired
• Previous automotive experience beneficial.
• Forklift License
• Yard dog experience or be willing to learn
• Willing to rotate to other areas in the future.
