Electronics & Mechatronics Engineer
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Engineer to lead the development of advanced electronic modules integrating both hardware and embedded software. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with 20+ years in the automotive industry, having worked across Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs, and participated in multiple vehicle launches from concept through start of production.
The ideal candidate brings a holistic understanding of the automotive product lifecycle, gained through hands-on experience in both supplier and OEM environments. This dual perspective enables deep insight into system-level requirements, cross-functional collaboration, and robust product delivery.
What you’ll do:
Technical Leadership:
Lead the design, development, and validation of electronic modules (ECUs, sensors, actuators) integrating hardware and embedded software.
Serve as a technical authority across cross-functional teams, guiding architecture decisions, design reviews, and issue resolution.
Drive innovation in mechatronic systems, leveraging simulation, model-based design, and digital validation tools.
Collaborate with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to align technical solutions with vehicle-level requirements and timelines.
Support program launches from early concept through SOP, ensuring technical readiness and production feasibility.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers across hardware, software, and systems disciplines.
Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide strategic direction and resource planning for project execution and capability development.
Conduct performance reviews, support career development, and identify training needs.
Represent the team in cross-functional meetings and executive reviews.
What is required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
20+ years of experience in automotive electronics and mechatronics, with a strong background in both OEM and Tier 1 supplier roles.
Proven track record of successful vehicle launches, from concept through production.
Deep understanding of automotive development processes, including APQP, DFMEA, DV/PV, and software validation.
Expertise in embedded systems, PCB design, signal integrity, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, FMU, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and driving cross-functional collaboration
