Quality Supervisor
What you’ll do:
- This individual is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the quality team. They will ensure that team members are properly trained to perform their job function. They will also be responsible for delivering on quality related metrics for their area (non-quality cost, customer PPM, new launch readiness, etc.)
- Effective time management, ability to effectively delegate assignments and follow-up on those assignments
- Customers, Quality team, Production team, Internal suppliers
- Production Control, Process Engineering, Change Management, New Launch, Customer Quality, Segment Supplier Quality, Design Engineering, Program Management
- Responsible for the achieving the quality targets and deliverables for the AMC team and driving root cause analysis and corrective actions when deliverables are not met.
- Non-quality cost for the AMC, Customer PPM, processes meet capability requirements
- Success for this individual will be the ability to lead their team to achieve the deliverables for their area.
- Drive continuous improvement and systemic defect elimination initiatives within their area of ownership to more sustainable results
- Promotes knowledge and application of the Standards.
- Actively contributes to reduction of TNQC
- Champion fundamental Quality approaches (PPAP, FMEA, IATF, VDA, Jidoka, Zero Defect, Quality First, etc.) both in the Design and the Process in their production team. • Lead by example. Be an ambassador for Autoliv by demonstrating the Autoliv Way and ‘Q5 behavior’
- Defines specific quality training requirements for their scope of ownership
- Evaluate work of the team and identify growth opportunities for individual team members
- Ensures that all applicable customer specific product quality requirements their product area are fulfilled.
- Reports on quality performance indicators.
- Enforces stable and in-control processes
- Collaborating with other functional areas to promote quality improvements to both products and processes
- Be able to work as a delegate for the Plant Quality Manager & AMC Manager as needed.
What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or similar technical field
- Quality control in a manufacturing environment
- Previous leadership experience required
- Leadership background in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred
