Seatbelt Operations Leader, Americas
The SB Operational Leader is responsible for leading and optimizing manufacturing operations across three major facilities: two large scale facilities in Mexico and one in Canada. This role oversees both manual and automated production environments and is accountable for driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and profitability across the product line.
Where you will work:
This role may be based in either the United States or Mexico accordingly.
What you’ll do:
• Drive Lean transformation and cost efficiency, focusing on conversion cost reduction, automation integration, and footprint optimization.
• Own and manage the full P&L, developing business plans from Sales to EBIT and supporting aftermarket strategies to improve profitability.
• Design and monitor KPIs, standardize processes, and ensure transparency in achieving short- and long-term financial objectives.
• Champion Lean manufacturing principles across all sites, embedding them into daily operations and long-term transformation strategies
• Provide strategic leadership and mentorship, guiding Plant Managers and teams while fostering a high-performance, safety-first culture.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, presenting weekly, monthly, and annual assessments to the Division VP of Operations.
What is required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, with multi-site responsibility.
• Strong financial acumen with direct P&L ownership and experience driving conversion cost improvements.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and footprint optimization.
• Business Unit/Product Line responsibility preferred with experience in all business functions including Operations HR, finance, R&D, supply chain and IT etc.
• Experience in Automotive sector required.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt preferred.
