Electrical Engineer
What you’ll do:
- Assist in quoting Electrical Design labor hours and hardware costs for new projects. Attend design reviews.
- Work closely with Automation Engineers in selecting electrical components needed for each project.
- Implement machine safety by coordinating with facility Safety Department, following safety standards and reviewing safety risk assessments.
- Maintain a standard parts lists, research and replace obsolete or discontinued parts.
- Research new technology and its electrical interface requirements.
- Implement current electrical standards or create new ones for new technologies.
- Coordinate with Facilities Department on equipment power, air, hydraulic, & gas requirements.
- Design the electrical and pneumatic schematics in 2D CAD using DraftSight software.
- Design the required electrical enclosures in 3D CAD utilizing SolidWorks software.
- Order electrical components, PPE tags (equipment identification & power requirements) for projects.
- Assist and answer questions as they arise during the machine development phase.
- Update electrical print packages from redlines created during assembly / debug / buyoff processes.
- Create an electrical recommended spare parts list for new projects.
- Structure and update all electrical CAD data and drawings in EPDM.
What is required:
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Electrical Engineering required.
- 5 plus years of experience programming / designing electrical systems.
- Proficient in Solidworks / DraftSight Electrical panel design experience a must.
- Allen Bradley PLC experience a plus
