Process Engineer
The process engineer will work directly for the technical support group at the OTC to maintain/improve the new and existing prototype and R&D equipment. The position requires a very good understanding of solidworks and 3D modeling to be able to support the existing manufacturing equipment and processes at the OTC. This position requires the ability to work with other groups within Autoliv to resolve complex and challenging projects. This position is an exempt position that will require, at a minimum, 40 hours/week at the OTC in support of the production equipment. Deviations to this must be approved by the individual’s direct supervisor or manager. This engineer will be flexible in other engineering roles as needed.
What you’ll do:
- Keep equipment functioning and minimize downtime
- Utilizing existing Autoliv machine design standards to maintain equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Must be able to handle the stress of equipment downtime, and handling multiple projects at the same time.
What is required:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering
- Solidworks 3-D modeling and 2-D drawings
- PFMEA creation and revisions
- Participate in 8D problem solving discussions
- Will be mentored by other process and design engineers within technical support
- Fluent English is required
- Spanish skills would be a plus
