Controls Engineer
Controls Engineer will concept and program industrial automated equipment and support projects during assembly, controls, and buyoff phases.
What you’ll do:
- Follow requirements from customer provided scope of work.
- Support design reviews with customer to determine equipment requirements
- Assess equipment safety requirements and develop methods of implementation
- Work in a small team environment with a robotics engineer and mechanical designer.
- Work special assignments to develop new and innovative ways to automate existing and/or new production processes.
- Research and implement new industrial automation technologies Integrate all forms of industrial automation devices into plc logic (motion, vision, pneumatic, electrical.
- Creation of electrical / pneumatic schematics Bench test new technologies, concepts and evaluate feasibility Work projects to a specific schedule and budget.
- Present ideas and proof of concept to top management.
- Communicate accurate updates to management.
What is required:
- BS Degree in Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience programming industrial automated equipment.
- Ability to program Allen Bradley PLC’s with an emphasis in ControlLogix platform.
- Electrical panel design and Robotic experience is preferred.
- Experiance with SolidWorks / DraftSight is preferred.
- Travel may be required
- Positive attitude and ability to get along with others Team work and customer service is a must.
