Customer Engineering Manager Airbags
What you’ll do:
- Leads a team of airbag applications engineers and ensures individual and team performance is aligned with ALV and customer expectations.
- Ensure methods, processes, standards, and activities within the group, result in product and processes that meet internal, customer and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure team members engineering and project milestones are met on time.
- Responsible for personnel development and training and ensures team members have the proper knowledge and skill to perform their roles.
- Promotes Autoliv technology utilizing effective technical documentation and customer communication.
- Works with the customer on joint development projects.
- Helps to generate technical roadmaps that align with customer and ALV requirements.
- Responsible for planning budgets and resources to achieve results in the most efficient manner.
- Works with other ALV Divisions and customer teams to quote and develop airbag application projects.
- Drive a culture of curiosity, continuous improvement and E2E thinking.
- Maintains appropriate communications within area of responsibility. Keep employees informed as to company and/or department plans and progress.
- Assure compliance of associates and team members to company policies and procedures.
What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Master’s degree a plus
- 5+ years of experience working with JOEMs
- Fluent Japanese
- Exposure to JOEM culture
- Must be willing to travel 10%. Must be willing to work off hours as many meetings are with other time zones. Must be willing to deviate from hybrid schedules when needed in the office.
- Previous leadership and managerial experience preferred
