Development Engineer
What you’ll do:
- Work within a cross functional team to create engineering drawings, reports, specifications (including DFMEA and DVP&R) and other relevant engineering documents as needed
- Interpret customer specifications and develop test plans
- Create internal prototype build orders and provide precise instructions to build technicians
- Develop product and process validation plans
- Conduct DOEs (design of experiments) to establish process windows correlating to final product functional limits
- Create test reports and convey results to colleagues and management
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding ballistic, electrical and product reliability characteristics
- Work with component and tooling external suppliers regarding design and technical requirements
What is required:
- BS mechanical engineering or Electrical engineering
- 1-5 years of experience in Automotive manufacturing and/or related engineering fields preferred
- Molding experience is a plus
- High volume manufacturing environment
- Understand/interpret engineering drawings
- Problem solving skills, methods; 8D, 5-Why
- Basic GD&T knowledge
- Use of statistical software for data analysis
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word
