Regional Category Buyer – Hardware, Software & IT Consultants
What you’ll do:
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy Development:
Design and implement regional sourcing strategies for hardware, software, and IT consultancy services, ensuring alignment with global procurement policies and local business needs. - Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and manage a robust supplier base. Lead supplier performance reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Contract Negotiation & Compliance:
Negotiate commercial terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and licensing agreements. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal governance standards. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with IT, finance, legal, and facilities to understand requirements, manage expectations, and deliver value-added solutions. - Market Intelligence & Innovation:
Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and supplier innovations to inform sourcing decisions and drive competitive advantage. - Cost Optimization:
Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, demand management, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
What is required:
- BS or BA in Purchasing, SCM, Engineering or another business-related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT procurement or category management
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Good administrating different projects and necessities
- Good working knowledge of ERP purchasing systems, PPT, Word, Excel (pivot tables)
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Availability to work in a hybrid schedule (3 days on site)
