Starting Date:  Effective Immediately

Preferred Location: Ogden, Utah (U.S.)

Autoliv has an immediate opening for a U.S. International Tax Manager.  This position reports to the Tax Director of Autoliv Americas and will work closely with the Group Tax Team to develop and execute the Group Tax Strategy, with a focus on continuous improvement, automation, data availability and integration, tax authority digitalization, business integration and management of tax risk/internal controls.

This individual’s primary responsibilities are:

  • Support the Global Tax Team in driving and developing Autoliv Tax into a global, innovative business integrated function that is fit for the future
  • Support U.S. international tax calculations to determine GILTI, FDII, FTC
  • Support the consolidated global tax provision reported for U.S. GAAP
  • Support implementation of new tax technology tools for provision and planning
  • Model U.S. tax planning
  • Interface with tax consultants to understand tax consequences and explain to various stakeholders
  • Assist Global Tax to develop tax expertise in a Center of Excellence/Shared Service Center environment
  • Work with various U.S. and non-U.S. subsidiaries to understand the myriad of tax profiles applicable to enable pro-active tax planning
  • Assist with income tax research, tax planning and other special tax projects.

Required competences 

  • Excellent technical and commercial knowledge of U.S. international tax, including GILTI, FDII, FTC, 861 allocations, and the interplay of the calculations.
  • Previous experience working in a global tax operating environment, gained from in-house roles.
  • Experience implementing global tax provision processes and tools
  • Excellent analytical capability
  • Excellent knowledge in written and spoken business English
  • Very good strategic and critical thinking
  • Very good ability to communicate messages to persons outside the area of tax, develop relationships and influence behavior
  • Strong leadership, project management and execution capabilities
  • Good awareness of other taxes, tax accounting and tax technology
  • Demonstrates accountability, integrity and innovation
  • Business-oriented
  • Proactive and able to work independently 


  • Relevant degree in business, commerce, accounting or law
  • Minimum 7 years relevant large global corporate tax experience, including inhouse role or similar
  • Experience of operating in matrix organizations.
