We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Technical Support Analyst / IT LAN Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing local area network infrastructure, client devices, and providing on-call support for critical production issues. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure seamless IT operations and support for our plant running 24/7.
What you’ll do:
- Provide on-call support 24/7 for critical production issues related to information technology.
- Manage local area network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi access points, ethernet-based layer 2 switch stacks, and manufacturing ethernet-based layer 2 switches.
- Configure and manage equipment using the Cisco command-line interface based on Linux.
- Escalate and coordinate with level 2/level 3 network support as necessary.
- Maintain documentation of equipment location and replace equipment based on a 7-year lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot reported network issues based on tickets submitted and procure network equipment based on hardware and purchasing standards.
- Coordinate infrastructure cabling/wiring with facilities team or contractors.
- Ensure new network devices are monitored in SolarWinds and authenticated through Cisco ISE.
- Procure, configure, and deploy client devices such as desktops, laptops, mobile phones, iPads, and Android scanners.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for client devices and accessories.
- Coordinate repairs for damaged equipment with third-party vendors.
- Assist in TISAX audits and identify unauthorized network devices.
- Coordinate and facilitate global and local IT projects, ensuring proper guidelines are followed.
- Attend production AMO daily startup meetings and weekly staff meetings for project status updates.
- Communicate projects, initiatives, and concerns to users as needed.
- Complete request and incident tickets assigned to Local IT within the standard SLA of 24 hours.
- Support site visits or business reviews with additional network, computer, and audio/video resources.
What is required:
- 2-5 years of experience in IT or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or currently attending school for IT-related studies preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge on Microsoft Operating System, Active Directory, and SCCM.
- Experience with handling computer hardware is beneficial.
