Join the dedicated team at Autoliv as a Quality Engineer in our Ogden, UT facility and play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of quality for safety systems that save lives every day.
Job purpose: The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality management system (QMS) and ensuring that all products meet the rigorous standards of Autoliv and its customers. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to continuously improve process efficiencies, reduce defects, and prevent quality issues.
What you'll do:
• Develop and implement quality control tests and procedures
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
• Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
• Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians
• Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international quality standards
• Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
• Devise and review specifications for products or processes
• Set QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved
• Assess product specifications and testing objectives
• Maintain a high degree of technical competence by staying abreast of quality standards, reporting and documenting developments
• Other duties as assigned
What is required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or relevant role
• Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
• Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and a results-driven approach
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage cross-functional team projects
• Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
