Senior Account Manager - Honda / Subaru
Autoliv is searching for an Account Manager responsible for management of day-to-day commercial matters for their assigned products and programs for our Honda / Subaru Business Unit. The role entails problem solving and opportunity evaluation including strategic and financial analysis as well as participating in creating business plans for potential opportunities. The individual will utilize a broad set of skills including issue and data analysis, problem solving, project management, financial tools and professional communication. The individual will work closely with the sales director and leadership across the company to develop and implement commercial strategies and recommendations. Applicants should be self-directed, results oriented, professional and willing to deliver results while meeting sales and project deadlines.
This position has the option of being located in Ogden, UT or Auburn Hills, MI, depending on where the candidate is located.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage sales activities.
- Lead the Project Steering Committee process.
- Handle contract reviews and Purchase Orders.
- Develop customer relationships.
- Support operations in resolving commercial issues.
- Support customer communication, commercial strategy and RFQ project execution.
- Assist in the development and understanding of overall market, competition, and general industry performance, including key drivers of business and financial performance, competitor benchmarking, and profitability, market and customer trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Automotive Sales - Minimum of 5 years of experience selling to Honda/Subaru or 3 years sales experience within Safety products
- Proficiency in standard business tools (Microsoft Office) and data analytics and associated software (Power BI, etc.)
- Capable of formulating strategies and concepts
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to think entrepreneurially and commercially.
- Willingness to work outside of local core business hours as required (global meetings, etc.)
- Must be flexible and willing to work extra hours during quotation cycles and other key times.
- Candidate must be willing to travel occasionally.
