Autoliv, Inc., a world leader in development and manufacture of automotive safety is currently accepting resumes for a Maintenance Technician at the Autoliv Facility in Tremonton, UT.
With limited supervision and routine work instructions, provides engineering technical support through the construction, testing and modification of automotive airbag components, materials and equipment. Maintains responsibility for building driver and passenger side modules to participate in product modification improvement activities. Interacts with engineering team members and customers to ensure adequate resources are available.
Principal Responsibilities:
Must understand basic principles of defects and conformance to requirements of CAR, 8D and Problem Solving. Must have the ability to cross-function as an Engineer Proxy and have the ability to communicate with vendors, customers and AOM related agencies to help in material and other various quality issues.
- Repairs, assembles, installs, and maintains production assembly machine systems.
- Documents all maintenance activity and assists with machine downtime root-cause trouble-shooting activity.
- Aids in creating both mechanical and software control code standards.
- Understands pneumatic and hydraulic devices and how these respective systems/components are energized and controlled.
- Understands AC/DC theory and AC/DC electronic circuits with their corresponding schematics. Understands electronic feed-back sensor devices.
- Can assemble and terminate (wire) control cabinet and machine components.
- Understands electronic safety devices, light curtains, safety relays, emergency stop circuits, and operator input devices.
- Creates and issues written trouble-shooting guides, preventative maintenance work instructions, and technical work instructions.
- Understands ladder logic and machine control programs.
- Understands molding dies and machines
- Understands paint and paint machines
Qualifications:
- Applicant must have completed the Automated Maintenance Mechanic (AMM) program at the OWATC/ BATC or be currently enrolled in the program and/or be willing to enroll in the program.
- Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree under unique circumstances
- Prior mechanical background preferred
We have both swing and grave shift positions available and will be filling a total of 3 openings.
