Development Engineer - Inflator- OTC - REQ 86220

Job Responsibilities: 

• Work within a cross functional team to create engineering drawings, reports, specifications (including DFMEA and DVP&R) and other relevant engineering documents as needed Interpret customer specifications and develop test plans 
• Create internal prototype build orders and provide precise instructions to build technicians
• Develop test plans and DOEs (design of experiments) to establish process windows correlating to final product functional limits 
• Create test reports and convey results to colleagues and management 
• Communicate with internal and external customers regarding ballistic, electrical and reliability characteristics of Initiators and MGGs (micro gas generators). 
• Work closely with component and tooling suppliers regarding design and technical requirements 

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements: 

• MS / BSME or EE, from an accredited university 
• Working knowledge of MS products Excel, Word, PowerPoint 
• Statistical analysis software MiniTab 
• Solidworks / CAD software knowledge 
• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
