Project Manager - Honda Business Unit -ATC (79845)
Autoliv is currently looking to fill the role of a Project Manager in its Honda Business Unit at its Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI. This Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the launch of new Honda Seatbelt Programs ensuring timely completion within program targets, with Honda R&D Engineering and Autoliv cross functional team. The Applicant should be a self-directed, results-oriented professional willing to deliver results while meeting sales and project deadlines,
Responsibilities will include the following:
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the Product Life-cycle Management process with internal and external customers.
- Creation and management of a detailed Timing Plan and Action Items list
- Ensure products are on time, under budget, and to customer satisfaction.
- Ensure timely completion of all aspects of Autoliv Product Development System (APDS).
- Project setup, budget tracking, and monitoring
- Ensure strong internal and customer relationships.
- Communication with and Coordination of all functional groups at Autoliv including Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Core Engineering, Application Engineering, and Management to ensure project deliverables.
- Customer and management presentations.
- Track all engineering, manufacturing, quality and account changes and impact to cost and timing.
- Communicate customer specifications and requirements to internal functions.
- Help ensure the base technology successfully launches at Autoliv and customer assembly facilities.
- Customer Interaction for all program related issues and track open issues.
- Pre-launch change coordination within Autoliv and customer facilities.
- Communicate with internal and external groups to meet program objectives.
- Coordinate Pre-Production Shipments.
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- 5 Years of Experience in Project management, preferrable in Seatbelts
- Work well with customer, excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills to maintain the timeline, analyze financial output, write reports, prepare presentations, submit internal requests, and respond to emails
- Ability to travel on occasion as required to Honda R&D facilities in Japan and Ohio
