Digitalization & Data Analytics Quality Manager - ATC (US or Mexico) - REQ 76908
Job Summary:
Design and adapt quality functional KPI related business processes and standards to integrate new digital ways of working to enable real time monitoring for compliance, risk, performance to target with automated data analytics that will reduce or eliminate waste in reporting, analysis and action tracking (approved and prioritized AAM Digitalization Quality related initiatives). Represent AAM and support corporate digital quality initiatives.
Strategic Content & Challenges:
Design and promote new ways to utilize and integrate digital solutions (including machine learning and artificial intelligence) to enable real time quality related performance monitoring from Design, Buy, Make, Ship Good strategic initiatives. Digital solutions that allow to collect, analyze, trend, cluster, visualize for quick problem definition and resolution of quality related issues that affect customer and business performance (NQC, DPMU, Scrap, process monitoring, etc.)
Definition, transmission and tracking of objectives in consideration of the company's corporate goals and strategies (Policy Deployment)
Compliance with all applicable laws and standards
Core Responsibilities:
Design, develop End 2 End quality digitalization / digitization / Automating business processes, implementing real-time dashboards & performance analytics from Drive Good, Design Good, Buy Good, Make Good and Ship Good strategic initiatives
Drive the implementation of Performance Management Dashboards from shop floor till AMO
Drive digitalization of APS Quality First and lead quality related automation and 4.0 initiatives both manual and administrative leading to efficiency improvements and cost reduction
Drive ML & AI road maps to drive efficient and effective data analytics and enable cost reduction in indirect labor through development and deployment of indirect process automation
Find & eliminate waste for QMS compliance from planning, doing, auditing, reporting, systemic gap analytics. Including IATF/VDA/OEM specific audits, MOZART, PFMEA go see fix, zero defects, MPS, customer and supplier PPAP documentations
Analyze and drive improvements on the following:
- Indirect & direct processes
- Problem solving
- Record retention & traceability (including digitization of records)
To collaborate with local / divisional and global resources to accelerate execution of solutions
Provides/ensures appropriate training to quality team members regarding relevant digital solutions in quality methods, standards and behavior
Facilitates inter-company problem solving and quality improvement solutions
Shares best practice experience between Operations, E and D
Active use of lessons learned and drives Yokoten
Coordinates with other Division Quality Directors/VP Quality
Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Ability to communicate to tech-savvy and non-technical staff
Practical knowledge of applied AL, ML, Data Science, and statistics
Demonstrated strong understanding of data management concepts, principles, best practices and associated business processes and tools, especially Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Modeling, Metadata Management, Data Quality
Strong industry experience data models and taxonomy including extraction, digesting, analyzing, visualizing and problem-solving various use cases across the data privacy/security and governance spectrum
Strong Knowledge and experience managing data governance through business and technology layers
- Utilizes problem solving activities for understanding effects of quality decisions on other areas of the company.
- Sets strategies for process improvements to support the quality system.
- Interprets and executes policies and procedures that impact area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of Customer Quality and Production systems.
- Knowledge of Industry and Certification requirements.
- Knowledge of dimensional tolerancing (GD&T) and methods of metrology and gauging.
- Knowledge of product testing methods especially data collection and retrieval
- Functional Team Leadership.
- Knowledge of and ability to contribute to databases development (PBI, SQL.)
Experience in supervising/managing units or projects and people including collaborating with other stakeholders (end to end) achieving results.
Experience in quality in manufacturing industry – automotive preferred
English fluency required.
