Autoliv, Inc., a world leader in development and manufacture of automotive safety is currently accepting resumes for a Quality Manager at the Autoliv Promontory Facility.
The Quality Manager is responsible for the Production Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Material Inspection, Test Lab, Metrology, and Customer Relations functions in the facility. The Quality Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager with dotted-line reporting to the Quality Director. The selected candidate must be able to work closely with production, technical support, and design teams. Job Description and Responsibilities • Sets the quality strategies for the facility. • Oversees and engages in problem solving efforts, understanding effects of decisions on other areas of the facility. • Takes ownership to find solutions to problems. • Knows and understands the difference between judgmental, informational and source inspection and ensures they are applied appropriately. • Sets strategies for support systems process improvements. • Provides direction to team members based on general policies and management guidance. • Interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect reporting organizational units. • Accomplishes results with supervisors, team members, and/or through experienced salaried employees who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. • Functions as an advisor to a unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations. • Becomes actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex/systemic challenges. • Ensures work/projects are completed on schedule and within budget. • Approves expenditures within budget policies and guidelines. • Provides resources and removes obstacles and barriers. Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree preferably engineering Experience: 5+ years’ supervising/managing projects and collaborating with other stakeholder in achieving results
