Autoliv is currently looking to fill the role of a Tool Control Buyer located at its facility in Ogden, UT. This Tool Control Buyer will be specifically responsible for assuring continuous availability of supplied components to meet current and future demand for globally used parts. Buyer will be required to work with the SIOP Teams, Product Lines, Global Tool Control Teams, Logistics Teams, Customer Groups, GPM Teams, GTFC, Production Control and Serial Purchasing to communicate and validate information.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible to track/manage component forecasted requirements by part number versus supplier tool capacities
• Responsible to assure quarterly capacity survey information is received, assign actions and follow up as needed
• Launch capacity tools to meet future demand & replacement or out of warranty tools as needed
• Forecast warranty and capacity tools for budget
• Support critical component shortages for globally consumed parts
• Lead Global allocations as needed
• Support global commodity strategies
• Support Product Line and group KPI’s
• Work with Commodity Purchasing to understand and support local & global strategies

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is required preferably in Supply Chain Management or related field
• 1-5 years of Buyer experience
• Proven skills and experience in planning, scheduling and problem solving
• Must be able to think analytically 
• Proficiency in writing Excel Macros
• Must have strong communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
• Must have a strong work ethic, a team player attitude, and a drive to follow through on commitments
• Have high attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), AGPS, Power BI experience is a plus
