Autoliv is searching for an IT Strategic Buyer at its facility in Ogden, UT. As part of the Global IT purchasing category, the IT Strategic Buyer will support global IT purchasing strategy in the acquisition of IT Software, Hardware, Services and Consultancy. Responsibilities will include vendor selection, strategic sourcing, negotiation, and maintaining vendor relationships.

• Engage and lead supplier negotiations, selection, and monitoring on regular basis.
• Work closely with Operational buyers to ensure strategic vision is being followed.
• Support multiple category Managers and global teams for assigned category groups, segments, and codes.
• Build, repair and maintain customer relationships through communication and collaboration
• Develop, implement and follow category specific strategies along with key stakeholder.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of 3 years of related buying experience in the IT realm
• Knowledge of IT Hardware, Software, Licensing and indirect purchasing categories
• Software and Services negotiations skills
• Knowledge in standard purchasing practices
• Project Management experience
• Good working knowledge of ERP purchasing systems and Microsoft Office
• Software buying experience for a Fortune 500 company is preferred
• Exposure to multi-million-dollar software/service/ constancy contract negotiations is preferred
• Experience in Oracle’s JDE and contract evaluation experience preferred
• Ability to work well with people; good communication skills both verbal and written
