Job Responsibilities:

• Launch new customer specific and developing inflators for Side airbags that will meet customer and Autoliv expectations

• Support launch of new technologies into global inflator plants

• Create test plans, test reports, analyze data, release sketches, notes, and specifications (Including DFMEA, DVP&R, DGD, and other relevant engineering documents) necessary to define design concepts

• Investigate design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and Equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and specification requirements and cost

• Release drawings of complex assemblies, parts, mechanisms, and structures

• Check drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning

• Verify product performance through CAE analysis and testing, identify product non-conformance’s, design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements

• Complete inflator qualification and validation through use of APDS/Pre-APDS

• Work with Module D group to validate and determine inflator performance and system optimization

• Interface with the customers by providing and presenting professional presentations

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:

• Educational Requirements: Mechanical engineering degree at an accredited university

• Years of Experience: 0-5 years in Engineering field

• Specific job-related skills: FEA experience beneficial
