2021 OTC Summer Internship (reqID13814)

This internship will work at the Ogden Technical Center (OTC) located at 3350 Airport Road, Ogden, UT.

Position Summary: Work with engineers to design, develop, and/or analyze side inflators and their sub-components. Will be working with experienced engineers to develop and improve current inflator components, designs, and assemblies. The intern will be required to build inflators and components, perform tests, perform functional and engineering analysis, design components and/or fixtures, collect data, write test reports, prepare and make development presentations under supervision from current engineers. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Support engineers in designing/testing components 
• Analyzing test results 
• Building and tearing down inflators 

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements: 

• Education: Junior or senior year pursuing a technical engineering degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred). 
• Years of Experience: None required 
• Minimum GPA: 2.9
• Specific job related skills: Strong engineering and communication skills, work with little supervision, have good work ethic, be a team player, follow through on commitments, have design aptitude, be a visual thinker, detail oriented
• Candidate must be actively enrolled in and pursing an engineering degree at an accredited university
