Job Description and Responsibilities:
• Provides engineering support for powder processing equipment such as spray dryers, tablet presses, filters, blenders, mixers, mills and sieves.
• Services, troubleshoots and solves production process/equipment problems.
• Conducts tests and measurements throughout the various stages of production to determine control over variables.
• Establishes and submits processing requirements to be met in designing and acquiring processing equipment.
• Identifies automation opportunities and implements robotic solutions
• Collaborates with other engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Knowledge of control systems preferred.
• Provides feedback/recommendations to leadership as appropriate.
• Pyrotechnic processing and/or powder processing experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Fette tablet presses, GEA Niro spray dryers, or Fanuc robots a plus.
Qualifications:
• Must currently be pursuing a Degree in Chemical Engineering • Preference will be given to those who will have completed their junior year by May 2021.
