VEVA Manager - Supply Chain Management (reqID 12461)

Autoliv is currently looking to fill the role of a Value Engineering / Value Analysis (VEVA) Manager in its Supply Chain Management Business Unit at its facility in Auburn Hills, MI.  This VEVA Manager role will be responsible for managing the SCM VEVA organization including clear alignment on prioritization & execution, and close collaboration with stakeholders & functions such as SCM, BU, ENG, LOG, PL, Ops, and ASA.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Management and execution of serial VEVA (resourcing and capacity tooling) as well as supporting in strategic and organizational planning including pipeline planning, financial budgets, and resource allocation within SCM. 
  • Responsible for input in preparing annual budgets (FC) as related to VEVA and ensuring timely execution of projects with expectation to achieving cost reduction targets that ultimately will  improve Divisional P&L, EBIT, and progress towards Strategic BP.
  • Provide strategic input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization.
  • Execute / implement Top VEVA List approved by Steering Committee
  • Control Resources  & Change Lead / ECR allocation within SCM
  • Assist Director of Innovation with key information for AAM VEVA Steering Co Updates
  • Coordination / Recommendation of Top Actions / Budget for FC/EQ/BP
  • Recommend Priority Substitutions (crisis / opportunity) as needed
  • Manage Change Leaders
  • Work with PFTs, CCBs, GTF, Product Lines (as needed)
  • Assist with VEVA Pipeline generation
  • Coordinate reporting (as required) 
  •  Continuous improvement Improve implementation processes 
  •  Ensure robust business case transparency 
  • Supporting Purchasing Director and VEVA Director for internal and external communications.
  • Support Global Task Force (GTF) as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering, along with a minimum of 10 years of related VEVA experience in the Automotive Industry is required.  
  • General knowledge of Autoliv products and procedures and component manufacturing processes.
  • Purchasing/ Project Management experience preferred.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to support cross-functional local and global teams.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills plus proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally (local, Utah, Mexico).
